Rules and Regulations

___________________________________________HEREUNDER CALLED THE VENDOR AND THE Crazy ‘Bout History, Inc. HEREUNDER CALLED THE
CELEBRATION, AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

1.        There will be no food or craft duplications.
2.        All booths must open and ready for operation for 10:00 am on Saturday and operate until closing 7:00 pm.  A  Committee member will assign you your
booth.
Do not try to set-up your booth until.
3.        There will be security on the grounds. There will be NO Driving on the grounds on Saturday during the Celebration without a pass. If you have Heavy
equipment to unload, you must do this prior to operations.
4.        The food items and prices listed in your contract are binding.  No other items of any kind may be sold and prices may not be changed without first
contacting me.  If a vendor desires to have another item, please contact me.  Remember – no duplicate items.
Any violation will result in immediate eviction, without refund, and will terminate further participation in the celebration.
5.        Vendor is responsible for cleanup of booth at the close of the day.  Vendor is required to maintain booth space in a clean and sanitary manner during
operation.  "Space" includes area in front and behind booth.  Absolutely no dumping of food items on grounds.
6.        NO Smoking is allowed in the Craft or Food booths
7.        FIRE REGULATIONS:
a.        All Vendors engaged in cooking and heating foods must have their own ABC type fire extinguisher.  Vendors will not be allowed to operate without an
extinguisher.

b.        Combustible materials must be kept at a safe distance from any heat source and properly protected from the public.  Crepe paper or any other highly
inflammable material may not be used for decoration.

c.        All portable gas/butane containers shall have LPG approved connectors, regulators, and hoses. These must be checked and before you light any fires.
8.        HEALTH REGULATIONS:
a.        Perishable food must be maintained at below 45*F or above 140* F at all times, including during preparation, transportation, and display.  Adequate
hot/cold storage facilities must be provided to maintain required temperatures.  

b.         Plastic gloves are required for hands on serving.  Proper sanitizer should be provided for hand washing each time personnel re-enters booth.

c.        All food must be kept covered except when serving.  In order to minimize contamination, keep all plates, utensils, and napkins, off the ground.

d.        Sanitize all food contact surfaces before starting your daily operation.

e.        Water will be available on site.  Vendor must supply own containers and means of transport.

f.         NO Smoking is allowed in the food booths while handling or preparing foods.

g.        All food items offered at the Celebration is expected to be of the highest quality.

9.        Vendors agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the Crazy ‘Bout History, Inc & St. Michael’s The Archangel Church harmless from any and all claims for
salary, expense, or sums due any employee, agent, servant, or contractee of Vendor or as a result of any accident, damage or injury to Vendor's employees,
guests, or invitees.

We are hard at work putting together a Bicentennial Celebration for all to enjoy
At this time, a partial schedule has been put on this site.  Check back for further additions to our celebration
on May 5, 2012 at St. Michael's church grounds in Convent, LA from 9am to 7pm

Doors open at 9am

10am to 11am....Opening in St. Michael's church with a living history, gospel singers and Judy Whitney Davis
as your emcee

11am to 3pm....Pony rides

11am to 2:30.....A band called Pooyai

2:30 to 4:30...Cajun dancers will be teaching visitors how to dance Cajun style

12 to 5:30.....A procession of antique cars will arrive at noon and stay on the grounds for the afternoon

4:30 a Cajun mass inside St. Michael's Church

Cake and Pie Contest


Dig out those recipes and come enter your best cake and/or pie in the Bicentennial Bake Off.
Entries are limited to 2 cakes and/or 2 Pies per person.
Entries are to be at the Celebration by 10:00am for judging.
Cakes & Pies become the property of the Celebration to be sold after awarding.
Entries are Free.
Winners will be presented in the following categories:
1. Prettiest / Best Decorated Cake
2. Best Tasting Cake
3. Best Tasting Pie

The following are the rules for the Cake & Pie Contest:

Divisions are: Best Decorated and Best Tasting
You can only enter 1cake in a division
You can have 2 cake entries but must be in separate divisions.
You will be allowed to enter 2 pies.
Example - 1 Cake in best decorated and 1 cake in best tasting,
                 1 cake in best tasting and 1 pie in best tasting,
               1 cake in best decorated and 1 pie in best tasting or
                 2 pies in best tasting

Cakes are encouraged to be made from scratch.
Cakes are limited to 2 boxes of cake mix.
Cakes that are entered in the decorating division are encouraged to decorate to the theme of the celebration “Louisiana 200 Years”.

Pies are to be at least 8” or 6 tart size pies will be accepted.
Pies are to be of a dessert.
Pies can be single or double crusted.
Pie crust from scratch are encouraged.

Recipes must accompany entries to be displayed for viewing.

No one will be allowed to remain during judging.
There will be a “Grand Prize Winner”, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place award given in each division.
All Decisions are final.
